Every poker player need to base their game by understanding the ‘tell’ of their opponents. A tell in poker refers to the body language and facial expressions that a player knowingly or unknowingly exhibits while staking their poker chip sets, or at any point of time while they are playing. Observing your opponents and guessing their hands based on their body language and signs will help you play better. For instance you can assume that a player holds strong hand if he plays weak and if they plays strong then it would mean that they hold a weaker hand and is bluffing.

Hence you can observe your opponents closely and watch for their body language to decide what hands they hold. Usually those who have strong hands would play uninterested in their hands and would play slow faking their hands but would continue staking their poker chip set so that they do not scare the other players and lead them to fold their cards. Players with weak hands usually would play strongly and they would try to look straight over the face of their opponents as soon as they stake trying to imply and convince their opponents that they are confident of their hands. Understanding the basic signals and reasoning according to the ‘tell’ of a player would help you win through the game or limit your losses.
